📺️ Sports This Week

🏈NFL

Worth It: Cowboys (2-3)  @ Packers (3-2)

Sun: 8:20 PM ET | 5:20 PM PT – NBC

Neither team is off to the start it hoped, but their popular brands bring a national audience and large followings. It's a matchup of elite offenses, meaning the winner will likely be whichever defense steps up.

Worth It : Ravens (4-1) @ Browns (3-2)

Sun: 1:00 PM ET | 10:00 AM PT – CBS

Most probably didn’t expect this to be a big game before the season, but Cleveland’s surprise start makes it a battle for first place in the AFC North.

Background TV: Texans (1-4) vs.  Jaguars (4-1)

Sun: 9:30 AM ET | 6:30 AM PT – NFL Network

The Jaguars remain in London for another week and a divisional matchup. The Texans haven’t come up with the wins this season, but their offense always gives them a chance.

⚾ MLB Playoffs

Must Watch - NLCS: Dodgers vs. Brewers

Sun: 8:00 PM ET/ 5:00 PM PT – FS1

Mon: 8:00 PM ET/ 5:00 PM PT – FS1

The Milwaukee Brewers enter the weekend with a 3-0 lead over the defending World Series champions and need just one win to move on to the final round and end LA’s reign of terror. If there’s no sweep on Thursday night, they’ll have two more chances over the coming days.

Must Watch - ALCS: Rays (98-64) vs. Guardians (85-77)

Sat: 8:00 PM ET/ 5:00 PM PT – TBS/truTV

Sun: 8:00 PM ET/ 5:00 PM PT – TBS/truTV

A two-run home run by Petey Halpin pushed Cleveland to a 3-2 win on Thursday afternoon, taking a 2-1 advantage in the series. It was the fifth win for Cleveland in the last six games, putting the Guardians two wins away from claiming the AL Pennant.

🏀WNBA Playoffs – Finals

Worth It: Atlanta Dream (30-14) vs. Golden State Valkyries (32-12)

Sat: 3:30 PM ET | 12:30  PM PT – NBC/Peacock

Mon: 8:00 PM ET | 5:00 PM PT – USA Network/CNBC/Peacock

There will be a new champion in the WNBA. Golden State won all three regular season meetings and swept defending champion Las Vegas in the league semifinals behind leading scorer Gabby Williams.

🏈College Football

Must Watch- No. 4 Ohio State (5-1)  @ No. 5 Indiana (6-0)

Sat: 12:00 PM ET | 9:00 AM PT – Fox

A rematch of last season’s Big Ten Championship Game and two of the conference’s best teams. Ohio State has a chance to make up for a loss to Texas and end the Hoosiers’ perfect season.

Must Watch: No. 2 Notre Dame (6-0) @ No. 8 BYU (5-0)

Sat: 7:30 PM ET | 4:30 PM PT – ABC

Major College Football Playoff implications in Provo. BYU has lost four straight meetings against Notre Dame, but this is the first time they’ll meet as ranked opponents and the first top-10 matchup in the history of LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Worth It: No. 6 Alabama (5-1) @ No. 14 Tennessee (5-1)

3:30 PM ET | 12:30 PM PT  – ABC

Alabama looks to bounce back from a high-profile loss to Georgia, but it doesn’t get any easier. Tennessee is a notoriously tough place for road teams, and the hatred between the schools runs deep.

Worth It: No. 13 Missouri (5-1) @ No. 9 Ole Miss (5-1)

3:30 PM ET | 12:30 PM PT

Eli Drinkwitz has been known to pull off some upsets as head coach of Missouri, but Ole Miss can be unstoppable at home, and you don’t have to look any further than its win over LSU earlier this season.

🏒 NHL

Worth It: Sabres (3-3-1) @ Canadiens (3-3-1)

Sat: 7:00 PM ET | 4:00 PM PT – NHL Network

The second meeting of the year between Eastern Conference foes. They just played an overtime thriller on Tuesday, with a two-goal night from Buffalo’s Olen Zellweger leading the Sabres to victory. What does the rematch have in store?

Background TV: Devils (3-3-0) @ Capitals (4-3-0)

Sat: 1:00 PM ET | 10:00 AM PT – NHL Network

The new wave of stars meets the fading wave. New Jersey’s Jack Hughes is one of the most popular players in the sport, while Washington’s Alex Ovechkin recently announced this will be his final season. You better watch the greats while you can.

The Big One: Notre Dame meets BYU

Notre Dame @ BYU - Saturday 7:30 PM ET - ABC

Unbeatens meet in prime time in Provo, Utah, on Saturday as No. 2 Notre Dame (6-0) visits No. 8 BYU (5-0). Notre Dame is seen as a potential national champion, while BYU is looking to solidify itself as the possible favorite in the Big 12. The winner will take a big step toward the ultimate goal.

BYU will have to shut down Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr, who has thrown for 1,378 yards and 13 touchdowns with just 1 interception. The majority of his throws have gone to wide receivers Jordan Faison and Micah Gilbert, who will get a real challenge from future NFL defensive backs in Evan Johnson and Faletau Satuala.

Notre Dame’s defense will have a similar predicament but avoids one of the biggest stars in the game. BYU running back and reigning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year LJ Martin is expected to be out until some time next month, leaving the Cougars with inexperienced running backs and a heavier reliance on quarterback Bear Bachmeier in the run game.

That makes a balanced offense critical for BYU to succeed in this game, and with multiple NFL-caliber players like Adon Shuler, DJ McKinney and Leonard Moore on the back end for Notre Dame, this is a “prove it” game for many reasons.

Stat: 58.3. Notre Dame boasts the No. 3 run defense in the nation, holding opponents to 58.3 yards per game on the ground. It’s the best run defense BYU has faced this season, and it will be  a huge factor as BYU tries to establish its identity in the running game without its best player.

Pick: Notre Dame wins by 7.

There is more NFL talent, big game experience, and overall health for the Irish, and that will lead to a nail-biting road win.
